Chief Osamede Adun, Others Formally Defect From Edo APC As Hon. Osahon, Ehigie Distance Selves From Kwankwanso Movement.
BENIN – Yesterday, leaders and Members of the Kwankwansiyya movement headed by it’s National Leader and a former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwanwanso within the Reformed APC (R-APC) in Edo state under the leadership of Chief John Osamede Adun, the Ayobahan of Benin (aka Bob Izua) and the state Coordinator, Hon. Harrison Omagbon have formally dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While addressing newsmen in Benin City the Edo State capital, Hon. Omagbon, said they decided to dump the APC with
589,137 members from the 192 wards with immediate effect after, critical evaluation, discussions, due consultations and after reviewing the unfolding political events in the country.
Although, there are strong indications that the latest decampees are on their way back to the PDP anytime soon.
Edo Kwankwansiyya Leaders present at the press briefing include – Chief John Osamede Adun, Hon. A. H Omagbon ,Hon. Osamudiamen Edekere ,Arch. Shettima Yusuf, Comr. Ikponomwan Francis ,Mrs. Aina Adedeji ,Mr. Sam Atoe, Mrs. Iyobo Osagie ,Mrs. Omose Ekhorutomen, Hon. Osaretin Osunde.
Meanwhile, a former APC Federal lawmaker representing Ovia Federal constituency, Hon. Isaac Osahon and Hon. Matthew Ehigie, a former Orhionmwon APC Chairman have both refuted earlier news reports that they are members of the movement, while reiterating that they are still bona-fide members of the APC.
