Dokpesi said that the PDP needs a better organization, a chairman with conscience, one who is hard working, committed and have the appropriate qualities capable of producing a presidential candidate of hope for Nigerians come February 2019.
“Your excellency, I do not want to become chairman just for the sake of becoming chairman, rather, I want to offer myself as a servant , work with experienced and matured members of the party to ensure that our party emerges victorious come 2019”, he said.
While receiving Chief Dokpesi and his campaign Team Achike noted that it was a privilege to host them in his office. He commended Dokpesi for an undeniable role he played in keeping the party alive, when the party was in chaos and a lot of members left the party in drones.

He cautioned that concerns stakeholders should be careful in selecting the next National Working Committee (NWC) members, because it will either make or mar the Party. He commended the NWC for kicking against micro-zoning, says let the best candidate emerge. Finally he urged Dokpesi never to be a party to impunity when he emerges as the National Chairman of the Party.
