“Anytime a government resorts to blaming the opposition for its failures to deliver on their mandate and responsibilities to the people. It is a clear sign that they have accepted that they have outlived their usefulness”- Keith Rowley

Keith Rowley PhD is the current Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago, leader of Opposition between 2010-2015,became the Prime Minister in September 2015 when his party Peoples National Movement PNM returned to power.

That quote above was made in 2013 when former Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar of then ruling party Peoples Partnership Coalition PPC heaps all the blame on the opposition rather than focus on delivering good governance.

Its very easy for Nigerians and their political leaders to draw an inference and analogy from the Trinidad & Tobago political climate and change of baton.

APC defeated PDP in 2015 general election but at every turn today keeps blaming PDP for every imaginable issue and its inability to deliver on its mandate to Nigerians.

My simple advice to folks in Presidency and APC leaders, try and focus on delivering good governance, usher in financial prosperity and improve the fortunes of beleaguered Nigerians.

Nigerians will measure your performance and stewardship between 29th May 2015 till next round of general elections, no one will buy rhetorics, platitudes and shifting of blame on the opposition PDP.

The reason APC and President Muhammad Buhari was elected arose from electorates being disenchanted with PDP stewardship, so stop reminding Nigerians about the past and get to work, stop the blame game.

Just thinking
