EDHA Directs Security Agencies To Beef Up Security In Esan South East LG Over Breach Of Peace
Edo State House of Assembly has directed security agencies to immediately beef up security in Esan South East Local Government Area following incessant attacks on its Citizens which Led to the loss of lives including a police inspector
This is contained in a resolution adopted at plenary under matters of urgent public importance on the breach of peace in the area.
Moving the motion, member representing Esan South East Festus Edughele said the people of the locality now live in perpetual fear because of constant security to their lives.
The member who got support from other members said owing to the seriousness of the issue. There is need for urgent solution and called on the various security agencies in the state to become more proactive in order to quickly nip the issue in the bud.
The speaker Kabiru Adjoto while sympathizing with the people of Esan South East said since the situation has assumed a critical dimension, there is need for all hards to be on the deck to check the excesses of the bandit.
In a related development, the majority leader EDHA Roland Asoro under matter of self-explanation drew the attention of the house to the murder of one Efosa Omoregie who was allegedly murdered by herdsmen.
The speaker Kabiru Adjoto thereafter called for an observation of a minute silence in honour of the deceased.
Also at plenary the house mandate the house committee on Finance and Budget to investigate the allegation by one Charles Ajiboye against Fidelity Bank over allege dispensing of fake naira notes from the ATM during Sallah period.
The house also received a petition from members of traders welfare Association who protested to the house to compel the state government to build an international.
