The Senate Committee on Works, led by Senator Clifford A. Ordia visited the Calabar/Ogoja Road project site in continuation of its tour on Projects inspection in the South South Region of the Country in fulfillment of its obligatory oversight functions.

“The quality of the job is satisfactory but the pace is slow. Gone are the days when a contractor will secure a project and after being fully mobilized has nothing to show for it.
It is a moral burden upon us today to sow properly, so that we can start reaping the fruits of relief tomorrow”, Sen. Ordia emphasised.

The State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade, while according the lawmakers a warm reception showered encomium on the Senate Committee on Works, saying that they are not just in the State for oversights but sent by Almighty God to save lives as the importance of that Road cannot be overemphasized.
